Mental Health must be “supported and prioritized” says Nevis’ Minister of Health

Thursday Oct. 10th was observed as World Mental Health Day 2024. Under the theme: “It is Time to Prioritise Mental Health in the Workplace”, the occasion is used to raise awareness of mental health issues around the world and to mobilize efforts in support of mental health, who.int says.

Nevis’ Minister of Health, the Hon. Jahnel Nisbett, stated the following in an address to mark the occasion.

 

 

Meantime, the Nevis Reformation Party (NRP) urged the public on social media to “join them in raising awareness and promoting mental well-being! Together, we can break the stigma and support one another.”

 

Also, SKN Labour Party (SKNLP) said “we stand together for mental health awareness! Let’s commit to creating a world in which mental wellbeing is a priority for everyone.”
