Meteorologist at the St. Kitts Met Office, Mr. Denel Dixon. Mr. Dixon gave the VONNEWSLINE this information about a disturbance.
Mr. Denel Dixon.
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) announced in mid-August, there is a 60 percent likelihood of the hurricane season being above average, a stark contrast from their initial May forecast. In terms of storm counts, NOAA’s forecast anticipates 14 to 21 named storms. So far, we have had 12 storms.
Every year, the Atlantic hurricane season runs from June 1st through November 30th. In November, the season starts to wind down, but storms may still occur.
