As the Middle East conflict continues, the prices in fuel remain volatile and now, for citizens and residents of St. Kitts & Nevis, the ripple effect(s) will be felt even more. This, as effective Monday Apr. 13th, there will be an adjustment to passenger fares aboard MV Next Edition and MV New Edition. Adults: EC $40 (up from $30) and children aged 5 to 12 years, EC $35 (up from $20).
Also, cargo and ferry operations aboard the MV Sea Hustler will be temporarily suspended and will operate on an as-needed basis until further notice. Additionally, MV Mark Twain said it had to make the “difficult decision” to suspend operations for its ferry, as of Wednesday Apr. 15th until further notice.
MV Waterman will suspend their operations as of Monday Apr. 13th, until further notice. However, Waterman’s suspension is not due to the Middle East war. The public will be advised on the resumption date in advance.
Meantime, Premier of Nevis, the Hon. Mark Brantley, explained on Apr. 8th, the Government still has control over the prices:
As of April 3rd, Delta Petroleum’s price for Unleaded Gasoline is EC $14.78 per gallon, while Sol service stations: $19.30 per gallon.
