Federal Minister of Sustainable Development, Climate Action, et. al, the Dr. Joyelle Clarke, recently attended the Hamburg Sustainability Conference in Germany, which brought together global leaders to accelerate progress on sustainable development goals.

While engaged in a panel discussion Dr. Clarke highlighted the challenges to accessing green financing such as concessional loans and grants for Small Island Developing States (SIDs) and spotlighted the adaptation of the Multidimensional Vulnerability Index (MVI).

She further stated that the adoption of the MVI would mean that “St. Kitts and Nevis could finally access financing to transform our economy and more readily say that we are ready to do a project that has global benefit”.
