SKN’s Minister of Sustainable Development, Hon. Dr. Joyelle Clarke, delivered a powerful message to representatives at the United Nations High-Level Political Forum on July 21^st, 2025.

She discussed how although the world is halfway to the 2030 Agenda for sustainable development goals, that we are far from achieving it, citing reasons of rapid climate change, environmental degradation, economic shocks, underfunding, as well as actions of global institutions that undermine climate action.

On behalf of the member states of the Caribbean Community or CARICOM, Dr. Clarke urged countries to increase actions for sustainability:
