Federal Minister of Agriculture et.al, Hon. Samal Duggins, recently represented St. Kitts and Nevis at the CARICOM Agri-Investment Forum and Expo held in Trinidad and Tobago.
The Region’s second Agri Investment Forum and Expo took place from August 19th – 21st 2022 at the National Academy for Performing Arts (NAPA).
Minister Duggins was being accompanied by Extension Officer from the Department of Agriculture St. Kitts, Reiner Ferdinand.
According to today.caricom.org, the Expo was displayed in “a village style exhibition with more than 300 exhibitors from across the Agriculture Sector with a widely educational, interactive and engaging display of products, attractions and technological advancements.”
The displays included a Livestock Barn with locally-bred animals, Petting Zoo, a Farmers Market, various Agro-Processors, Chocolatiers and Business to Business Rooms.
The EXPO was held under the theme “Transforming Agriculture through Innovation and Investment”.
