The Ministry of Health invites the general public between the ages of 18 and 69, to participate in our National Steps Survey.
The Steps survey aims to collect information on the risk factors for non-communicable diseases such as diabetes, high blood pressure, cancer, etc. It will gather data on tobacco use, salt intake, obesity, physical activity and other risk factors.
Survey officials will to randomly selected households to collect information and take health measurements.
Step 1 survey officials will come to your home with a questionnaire to collect basic date on demographics, social and health status.
Step 2 survey officials will conduct free health checks such as height and weight (BMI), blood pressure, heart rate and waist and hip circumference.
Step 3 clinical health officials will return to conduct free blood and urine health checks such as blood sugar, HDL cholesterol, total cholesterol, triglycerides and salt.
Participate and take advantage of this free health exam. All information gathered will be confidential and will help us fight NCD’s.
