Ministry of Health St. Kitts and Nevis Reaffirms Commitment to Healthcare Excellence
Amidst recent allegations of not receiving proper healthcare in SKN, the Ministry of Health St. Kitts and Nevis, in a statement said it “continues its commitment to improving healthcare in the federation, a key factor in this process is the strategic expansion of our medical team and expertise.”
The statement reads “Under the leadership of Prime Minister and Minister of Health, the Honourable Dr. Terrance Drew, the Joseph N. France (JNF) General Hospital has achieved significant milestones in critical care: • Increased Specialist Personnel: Consultant anesthesiologists have increased from two to three, the highest in the hospital’s history.”
It added “Consultant internists have expanded from two to four, with one holding a subspecialty in critical care medicine. Advanced Nursing Expertise: The ICU team now includes three nurses with specialized ICU training and a fourth with extensive international ICU experience.”
“The Government is dedicated to building a resilient healthcare system that prioritizes patient safety and quality care” the Ministry said.
