Ministry Of Health Warns Against Filming Patients in Medical Facilities

The Ministry of Health is reminding the public that taking photos or videos of patients inside any health facility in St. Kitts and Nevis is strictly forbidden.

The warning applies to the Joseph N. France General Hospital, as well as all hospitals and health centers across the Federation.

According to the Ministry, recording or photographing patients without their permission is a serious breach of privacy and is considered unethical. Officials say patients have a right to dignity and confidentiality, especially while receiving medical care.

The Ministry has also made it clear that anyone found violating this rule will face immediate action. This may include being removed from the facility and possibly further consequences, depending on the situation.

Health officials are urging the public to respect patients, their families, and medical staff, and to help maintain a safe and compassionate environment in all healthcare facilities.
