Missing Hiker Found Alive After Search on Mt. Liamuiga
The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force has confirmed that LaReign Lion, a visitor who was reported missing during a hike to Mt. Liamuiga, in St. Kitts, has been found alive and in good health.
Lion went missing on August 3rd while hiking with another visitor and a local guide. According to reports, the group was ascending the trail when Lion stopped to rest while the others continued to the summit. Upon their return, she was no longer at the resting point, prompting an immediate search.
Police, along with the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), launched a coordinated operation to locate her. Public appeals were also made for information from anyone who had been in the area.
Following her discovery, Lion was transported to the hospital for a full medical evaluation as a precaution. She was reported to be in stable condition.
