MOA consults insurance for farmers to strengthen Agricultural Resilience
In line with its dedication to fostering a strong and sustainable agriculture sector, the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Marine Resources in St. Kitts organized a series of crucial insurance consultations for livestock and crop farmers on Tuesday, October 29th, and Wednesday, October 30th, respectively.
These sessions brought together farmers, technical personnel from the Department of Agriculture, and various stakeholders, creating an invaluable opportunity to enhance their knowledge of agricultural insurance.
The discussions highlighted the specific challenges faced by farmers in the federation and emphasized the significance of effective risk management in agriculture.
The goal of the consultations was to empower farmers to make well-informed choices, helping to safeguard their livelihoods against unexpected challenges.
