Nevis’ Ministry of Tourism hosted the 2026 Delisle Walwyn & Company Limited Inter-Primary Schools Tourism Quiz on Tuesday, February 17th, at the Nevis Performing Arts Centre (NEPAC).
The competition featured three categories: Cultural Heritage, Geography and Environment, and Caribbean Tourism.
Montessori Academy secured first place with 40 points. Three schools initially tied for second and third positions with 35 points. After a tie-breaker round, Joycelyn Liburd Primary claimed second place, while the Violet O. Jeffers Nicholls Primary took third. Elizabeth Pemberton Primary finished fourth. Charlestown Primary, St. Thomas’ Primary, and Ivor Walters Primary were the other participating schools.
The quiz highlighted the students’ knowledge of Nevisian culture and Caribbean tourism.
According to a Ministry release, the event aimed to cultivate national pride, promote cultural appreciation, and encourage future participation in the tourism industry by nurturing informed, confident, and globally aware citizens from an early age.
