Mr. Michael Maynard, winner of East Basseterre Fishing Tournament
Mr. Michael Maynard was dubbed the winner of the East Basseterre Fishing Tournament in St. Kitts.
The tournament, which took place on Sunday, October 16th , was organized by the Newtown Fishers Cooperative Society, as part of a roster of activities outlined by the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries et. al in celebration of World Food Day.
Mr. Maynard got first prize for the largest and heaviest Yellow Fin Tuna.
Meanwhile, Mr. Jack Spencer received the 2nd place prize for the 2nd largest Yellow Fin Tuna.
Other categories judged during the event include: the Largest Wahoo which saw 1st prize awarded to Mr. Arden Bradshaw and 2nd prize to Mr. Jassen Phipps; the Largest Shark weighing in at 118lbs caught by Mr. John Lee and the Largest Barracuda, which saw 1st prize awarded to Mr. Denzil Williams and 2nd prize to Mr. Brad Seaman.
