Police have confirmed with the VONNEWSLINE that a multi-vehicle traffic accident occurred along the Island’s Main road, in Charlestown, Nevis in the vicinity of Glitz Bar, on Wednesday night May 14^th.

The incident involved five (5) motor vehicles (motor cars PB5732, PA9377, P8865, and R426, as well as motor scooter PA3726) and two (2) pedestrians. Both pedestrians sustained injuries and were transported to the Alexandra Hospital for immediate medical attention. All five vehicles sustained extensive exterior damage.

The male pedestrian sustained lacerations to the feet, a dislocated shoulder, a laceration to the back of the head, and additional bruising. He remains hospitalized at the Alexandra Hospital.

 The female pedestrian sustained cuts and bruising to both knees and a laceration to the left foot. She has since been discharged.

The driver of motor car P8865 has been served a Notice of Intended Prosecution in connection with the incident. Investigations into the incident are ongoing. No deaths were reported.
