The Nevis Air & Sea Ports Authority (NASPA) is celebrating its 25th anniversary with a month of activities.

Operating since the late 90’s, NASPA oversees operations at the island’s only airport, the Vance W. Amory International Airport and four seaports: Long Point Port for cargo, Charlestown Port for passengers, ferries, cruise ships, yachts, and other private watercraft.

The Newcastle Port is located on the northern side of the island and is mainly favored by native fishermen and the Oualie Water Taxi Facility coordinates frequent charters to and from our neighboring island, St. Kitts.

Chief Operations Officer, Shelley Weekes, gave the VONNEWSLINE this brief history.
