A Sitting of the National Assembly has been scheduled for next Monday September 18th.

According to a notice from the Federal Government, it will be held at the National Assembly Chambers, Government Headquarters, Basseterre, at 10am.

A total of five bills will receive their first reading on Monday. Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, National Security et.al, Hon. Dr. Terrance Drew will introduce the Medical (Amendment) Bill 2023 and the Cannabis (Amendment)Bill 2023.

Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries et.al, Hon Samal Duggins, will introduce the Animal Health Bill 2023 and the Plant Protection Bill 2023.

Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Trade et.al, the Right Hon. Dr. Denzil Douglas will introduce the Consumer Protection Bill 2023.
