National Assembly will hear three bills to be read a 2nd time on October 30th

On Monday, October 30th, there will be a Sitting of the National Assembly at the assembly’s Chambers at Government Headquarters in St. Kitts at 10:00 a.m.

 

 

 

According to the Order Paper, a total of three (3) Bills will receive their second reading.

 

 

 

They are: the Bill entitled Consumer Protection Bill, 2023, which had its first reading on 18th September, 2023, and will be read by Minister responsible for Foreign Affairs, International Trade, Industry, Commerce and Consumer Affairs et al, the Right Hon. Dr. Denzil Douglas.

 

 

 

The second reading of the Bill entitled Firearms (Amendment) Bill, 2023, which had its first reading on 12th June, 2023 will be read by St. Kitts and Nevis’ Prime Minister and Minister responsible for Finance, National Security, Citizenship and Immigration et al. Hon. Dr. Terrance Drew.

 

 

 

The third bill will have its second reading, entitled: Proceeds of Crime (Amendment) Bill, 2023, which had its first reading on 25th May, 2023 and will be read the Attorney-General and Minister responsible for Justice and Legal Affairs, Garth Wilkin.
