The National Invasive Strategy and Action Plan is in its final stages as a component of the CABI-led project ‘Preventing Costs of Invasive Alien Species’ (IAS).
That is according to the National Project Coordinator, Dr. Kerry Dore who drafted the action plan.
During a panel discussion organized by the St. Kitts Department of Agriculture, Dr. Dore read a commentary explaining the aim of the project from the Project Director, Mr. Evan Perry, an Environmentalist in the department:

The project is being financed by the Global Environment Facility (GEF) and is being supported and implemented by the United Nations Environment program and the Center for Agriculture and Bioscience International (CABI).
CABI is an international, inter-governmental, not-for-profit organization that provides information and scientific expertise to solve problems in agriculture and the environment.
