National Medicinal Cannabis Authority to be officially launched in April

The Medicinal Cannabis Authority in St. Kitts and Nevis will be officially launched on April 21^st 2025, at Princes Street, at 9:30am, according to the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries & Marine Resources-St. Kitts.

The Ministry said on social media that “this historic step aims to establish a sustainable medicinal cannabis industry, ensuring that our citizens and residents are the primary beneficiaries.”

The Medicinal Cannabis Authority was created in 2020. The members of the Board (or Cannabis Authority) are:

Minister of Foreign Affairs et.al – Dr. Denzil Douglas, PS of Health-St. Kitts – Mr. Levi Bradshaw, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Mr. Andre Mitchell, Mr. Curtis Martin, Mr. Everton Delaney, Mr. Samande Reid (Ras Iya), Mr. Iroy Pinney (Ras Iroy), Mr. Maurice “EK” Flanders, Mr. Tavo Sargeant, Mr. Terrence DeCosta, Mr. Keino Cotton, Ms. Nikelle Newton, Chairwoman, Mrs. Jihan Williams-Knight and Ms. Lynvie Burnham.
