National Security denies music artists entry into SKN due to safety reasons

The Ministry of National Security of St. Kitts and Nevis has issued a release indicating the displeasure of the general public of a decision that was made to bar musical entertainers Richard Anthony Romano also known as “DJ Punz”, Lorenzo J. A. Homer, and Jasse David Aguillera from Trinidad and Tobago, from entering the Federation.

According to the release, it is of paramount importance to the government that the safety and security of all citizens, residents, and visitors are of top priority as to why the decision was made to restrict entry into St. Kitts and Nevis.

Through credible intelligence and thorough assessments highlighted potential risks associated with the presence of these individuals.

The release further stated that the Ministry of National Security understands the cultural significance of music and entertainment, and value the contributions that artistes make to our society. However, in matters of security, the well-being of the people of our federation will be prioritized above all else and will continue to keep the public informed about actions taken in the interest of national safety.

The understanding and support of the public is deeply appreciated as the ministry navigate these complex issues.

Further, the ministry continues to collaborate with regional and international law enforcement agencies to monitor any developments that may impact the security landscape of St. Kitts and Nevis.
