NCCU officially adopts IWPS and CPS under SOAR programme

Nevis Cooperative Credit Union Limited (NCCU) has officially adopted the Ivor Walters Primary School and the Charlestown Primary School under its SOAR programme.

This will be for the 2024-2025 academic year. The NCCU SOAR (which stands for Schools Outreach Assistance and Rewards) team visited schools to formally launch the Adopt-a-School component of the initiative.

The “Adopt A School” initiative was launched in late 2024 and the primary schools are expected to benefit from SOAR over a four-year period.

Ivor Walters Primary School’s Principal, Serena Browne welcomed the initiative and thanked NCCU on behalf of the school. Charlestown Primary School’s Principal, Cheryl Haynes expressed appreciation for the partnership.

Following brief ceremonies at both schools, students participated in interactive activities and earned prizes by correctly answering questions about the SOAR programme- courtesy of NCCU.

The SOAR initiative is designed to rotate support among all public primary schools on Nevis over a four-year period, with each school benefiting from a year of focused engagement, rewards, and outreach efforts.
