“A trough system is expected to move into our area Wednesday through to Thursday”, NEMA says.

NEMA (National Emergency Management Agency) said in an advisory: “this trough will cause an increase in instability and is expected to lead to an increase in clouds and showers.”

Some of the showers could be moderate to heavy at times during the passage of the trough. Over 2 inches of rain is possible during that time.

NEMA urged citizens and residents in SKN to be guided by the information provided. Updates about the approaching trough system will be provided.

A trough is an elongated area of comparatively low atmospheric pressure, usually in association with weather fronts.
