The Nevisian Association of Washington DC (NEVDC) made donations comprised of medical equipment and supplies on Thursday April 6th.

NEV-DC is a non-profit organization founded by Nevisians committed to having a positive impact on the lives of Nevisians at home and abroad, Nev-DC.org says. The donations included hospital beds, wheelchairs and several pallets containing a variety of hospital supplies.

The gifts were handed over by the association’s representative, Mr. Levi Maynard to the Minister of Health here on Nevis, the Hon. Jahnel Nisbett at a brief ceremony at the Alexandra Hospital. Minister Nisbett expressed her gratitude and said “we appreciate the continued partnership and commitment to making sure that you keep contributing to the Nevisian public.”

Among those present at the ceremony were Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Health, Ms. Shelisa Martin-Clarke and Assistant Secretary in the Ministry of Health, Ms. Latoya Jeffers.
