Nevis’ Airport Project Moves Into Pre-Construction Phase

The US$40 million expansion of the Vance Amory International Airport is expected to begin soon, with early groundwork now underway on the project site. The expansion will include major land-side improvements to the terminal building, fire hall and control tower, along with air-side upgrades to the runway, lighting systems and jet fuel farm.

 

Survey work has already begun, and it is being described as a “soft start” to construction. Here is the voice of Nevis’ Premier, the Hon. Mark Brantley:
