Nevis Appropriation (2026) Bill, 2025, passed after days of debate
After two days of debate, the Nevis Appropriation (2026) Bill, 2025 was unanimously passed in the Nevis Island Assembly, on Thursday Dec. 4th.
The Bill was introduced on Tuesday Dec. 2nd by Nevis’ Premier and Minister of Finance, the Hon. Mark Brantley.
The Bill is to appropriate certain sums of money for the use of the public service of the island of Nevis for the financial year commencing on Jan. 1st 2026 and ending on Dec. 31st 2026.
The 2026 budget was presented on Dec. 2nd, under the theme “A Purpose Driven Agenda: Building our Sustainable Future”. The Budget is EC $284, 421, 680.
