Nevis joined the world in celebrating Post Day 2024, under the theme “150 years of enabling communication and empowering people across nations.”
World Post Day is observed annually on Oct. 9th, the anniversary of the establishment of the Universal Postal Union in 1874 in the Swiss Capital, Bern. However, it was declared World Post Day by the UPU Congress in 1969. Minister of Posts-Nevis, Spencer Brand said in light of the day:
