Nevis’ Civil servants to see 5% salary increase in Jan. 2023 as promised
Nevis’ Premier and Minister of Finance, Mark Brantley, has assured that all civil servants and government pensioners on the island, will be paid an additional five percent increase, which was mentioned earlier this year.
In May 2022, the Cabinet on Nevis announced a 15 percent increase for civil servants, over the period 2022 to 2024. The first five percent increase in salaries and wages, retroactive to January 01, 2022, was paid on May 25th.
This was in the wake of Former Prime Minister, Dr. Timothy Harris’ announcement of a 10 percent increase.
