Nevis’ reigning Calypso Monarch of Culturama 51, Empress Lyric, competed at the Delta Petroleum Queen of Queens 2025– Regional Female Calypso Competition in Montserrat, forming part of the country’s Carnival calendar.

This featured female calypsonians from across the region. Empress Lyric represented Nevis for the first time in the competition. Adding to the night’s appeal was Nevis’ King Dis & Dat as a guest performer.

Empress Lyric sang “Black Woman” and “Cat Scan”.

In the end however, it was defending champion Terri Lyons of Trinidad and Tobago who the 2025 title of Queen of Queens with 985 points.

Lyons topped a strong field of nine female calypsonians from across the region to secure her fourth regional crown and the US$7,000 winner’s prize.
