The countdown to the Soca Monarch crown starts now as Nevis gears up for this year’s Culturama Festival. The introduction of pre-events leading up to the festival will begin shortly, as the National Bank Soca Teaser 1 kicks off this Saturday (May 16^th), 8:00 p.m. at ‘From De Heart Bar’. The event is free and open to the public, offering fans an early taste of the island’s vibrant Soca scene, all apart of activities for Culturama 52.

Festival Coordinator, Mr. Swaine Evelyn shared that the teaser will feature top performers set to compete in the Soca Monarch Competition:

While not all artists will perform on Saturday, the line-up promises to be an electrifying night of music and dance.

This is the first of four teasers expected across the island, designed to build excitement and to get the public involved in the island’s culture. “We’re doing this to warm persons up, get into the vibe, and prepare for the main Soca Monarch event,” Mr. Evelyn added.
