“Everybody Needs to Act” is the 2022 theme for World Obesity Day.
The Day is observed globally on March 4th, with the view of promoting practical solutions to end the global obesity crisis. In keeping with the observance, Nevis’ Health Promotion Unit (HPU) will hold a Road Relay. Senior Health Educator at the Unit, Ms. Shevanee Nisbett, gives us more details.
The relay will have 5 legs: from Best Buy Supermarket to the Charlestown Police Station, then from the Police station to the court house (old library).
The other leg will be from the court house to the entrance of the Charlestown pier, from there to across Samuel Hunkins drive and turn up the road by the Octagon Bar and the final leg will be from the Octagon bar going across Main Street, Charlestown, ending at the Sir Simeon Daniel Bust (statue).
