Disaster officials on Nevis have reported a state of preparedness, in the event of a storm’s passage during the 2021 Atlantic Hurricane Season.

Minister with responsibility for Disaster Management, is Alexis Jeffers.

The 2021 Atlantic Hurricane Season runs annually from June 1^st to November 30^th. Forecasters have predicted another above-normal season for this year.

AccuWeather forecasters, led by veteran meteorologist Dan Kottlowski, predicted that the 2021 Atlantic hurricane season will result in 16-20 named storms, including seven to 10 hurricanes.
