Nevis Island Assembly to convene on March 26th

A Sitting of the Nevis Island Assembly will be held on Tuesday, March 26th at 10 a.m., at the Assembly’s Chambers, Hamilton House, Charlestown.

 

 

 

Premier of Nevis and Minister of Finance, Hon. Mark Brantley, will seek leave to introduce and have read for the first time, the Nevis International Banking (Amendment) Bill, 2024, according to the Order Paper.

 

 

 

The Bill seeks to amend the Nevis International Banking Ordinance Cap. 7.05 (N) and for matters related thereto and connected therewith.

Meantime, the National Assembly will also convene on Tuesday, as a Sitting has been slated for 10am, at the National Assembly Chambers, Basseterre.

 

 

 

One Bill will receive its first reading, while two others are scheduled for their second reading.

 

 

 

Prime Minister, Minister of Finance and Citizenship, Dr. Terrance Drew, will seek leave to introduce and have read for the first time: the Citizenship by Investment Unit Bill, 2024.

 

 

 

Furthermore, the Prime Minister, in his capacity as Minister responsible for Health, will move the second reading of the Medical Laboratories Bill, 2024, which had its first reading on February 22nd.

 

 

 

Minister of Labour, the Hon. Marsha Henderson, will move the second reading of the National Productivity Council Bill, 2024. The Bill had its first reading on February 22nd.
