What is the status with regards to the banning of single use plastic here in St. Kitts and Nevis?

 The Nevis Island Administration in previous years announced its intention on supporting such a ban.

 With other Caribbean territories and countries across the world making the step and making it law, is the twin island nation too far behind?

 Speaking at his first Press Conference for 2020 on Tuesday 28^th January, Premier of Nevis the Hon. Mark Brantley noted that Nevis is making the necessary steps towards this goal but that a federal effort is needed to make the ban effective.
