19 junior Calypsonians competed in the 2023 Green House Band and The Cable sponsored-Junior Calypso Monarch Competition, on Sunday Dec. 10th, at the St. Kitts Marriott Resort Plaza.

The competition, part of activities for Sugar Mas 52 (National Carnival), was a two-fold event comprising of the Primary School Calypso Monarch and the Secondary School Calypso Monarch. For the Primary segment, out of Nevis:

Zenobia Johnson, alias “Mighty Zen” won a cash prize of $2500. Then in the secondary school segment:

Nicolas Perry alias “Star boy Nicholas” won a cash prize of $3500 and an additional $1500. For the Primary competition: 2nd runner up was-Prince Khi and 1st runner up Lady Faith. 2nd runner up and 1st runner up in the Secondary segment were Princess Neveah and Mighty J, respectively.
