On Saturday November 30th, the Ministry of Tourism – Nevis hosted its Tourism Awards and Cocktail ceremony for 2024, under the theme: “Tourism, Connecting through Peace and Diversity”.
Only one winner could be selected amongst several nominees under the hospitality and tourism industry in eight categories. These were the winners:
Nevisian Experience Award – Nevis Sun Tours Inc.
Nevis Tourism Entrepreneur Award – Michael Morton of Island Buzz Tours.
Best Culinary Experience Award – Passion Bar and Grill (owner – Karen Belle).
Employee of the Year Award – Doig Lester Parris of Wesk Ltd.
Manager of the Year Award – Wincent Perkins of Island Watersports Nevis
Sustainable Tourism Award – Native Radiance (Owner – Shobaina Prince)
Corporate Partner of the Year Award – Four Seasons Report Nevis
Pillar of the Industry Award – Roslyn Jeffers of the Hermitage Inn
Furthermore, two special awards were given, firstly, to Deborah Lellouch for 22 years of service in teaching Tourism and Sustainable Tourism at primary schools and Jean Browne for her 43 years of outstanding service in the Tourism Industry.
