The four Nationals from Nevis, encountered difficulty at sea over the weekend, have returned safely to the Federation.

In light of the safe arrival of the individuals, Prime Minister, Dr. Terrance Drew, mentioned on Facebook “I am grateful that our four Nationals from Nevis who were lost at sea are safe. Let us give thanks for this welcomed ending.”

Based on information from SKN’s Coast Guard, they received information of a missing vessel that was returning from Anguilla’s Poker Run event on Aug. 12th, which encountered difficulty at sea.

A search was conducted by the St. Eustatius (Statia’s) Coast Guard where they found an overturned vessel and none of the occupants. SKN’s Coast Guard joined the search and rescue efforts.

However, St. Maarten’s authorities informed SKN’s authorities that they were found alive.
