Nevis’ Premier commends first responders of MV Apple Syder disaster & urges all to avoid “wide speculation”

Nevis’ Premier, the Hon. Mark Brantley, speaking in relation to the first responders who aided in the rescue effort of passengers from the MV Apple Syder.

 

 

47 persons (41 passengers and 6 crew members) were rescued from the ferry, as it sank shortly after departing the ferry terminal in Basseterre, St. Kitts, during the morning hours of Monday June 29th.

 

 

Mr. Brantley gave this advice to the general public:

 

 

 

SCASPA (St. Christopher Air & Sea Ports Authority) said a full investigation is being conducted to determine the cause of the incident.
