Nevis’ Premier extends condolences to the Daniel family following Lady Sheila Daniel’s passing
Premier of Nevis, the Hon. Mark Brantley, has extended his condolences to the family of the late Lady Sheila Daniel: widow of Sir Simeon Daniel (also deceased), who was the first Premier of Nevis.
He mentioned on social media “to have known Lady Sheila Daniel is to have known an exceptional woman in whom the best human elements were so well combined that she radiated warmth and class and empathy and love effortlessly.”
He continued by saying “Lady Sheila was as a mother to me and I as a son to her. I loved her and she loved me. I extend heartfelt condolences to Adrian and his family.”
In related news- the Nevis Reformation Party (NRP) is also mourning the passing of Lady Sheila Daniel. Her husband, the late Sir Simeon Daniel, was among the founding members of the NRP, the first Leader of the party and led for the party for over two decades (1970-1992), and a National Hero of St. Kitts and Nevis.
NRP said via its Facebook page “we extend our deepest condolences to her family and loved ones during this time of loss. Her strength, grace, and support for Sir Daniel played a significant role in his enduring legacy. May her soul rest in eternal peace.”
