Nevis’ Premier presents 2026 Budget on Dec. 2nd

Nevis’ Premier and Minister of Finance presented the Nevis Island Administration’s (NIA) 2026 Budget Address, during a Sitting of the Nevis Island Assembly on Tuesday Dec. 2nd, at the Assembly’s Chambers, in Charlestown.

 

The Hon. Mark Brantley provided details about the NIA’s expenditure, plans and activities for the imminent fiscal year. During his address, Mr. Brantley  introduced the Nevis Appropriation (2026) Bill, 2025.

 

The Bill is to approve certain sums of money for the use of the public service of the island of Nevis for the financial year commencing on Jan. 1st, 2026 and ending on Dec. 31st, 2026.

 

The Bill is to the tune of EC $284, 421, 680. This is an increase of EC $11.2 million: as the Nevis Appropriation (2025) Bill, 2024 was to the tune of EC $273,172,300. Also, the Draft Estimates of Expenditure for 2026 and Nevis’ Audit Report 2024 was laid on the table during the Sitting, by Premier Brantley.
