Premier of Nevis and Minister of Finance, the Hon. Mark Brantley, delivered his 2025 Budget Address in the Nevis Island Assembly on Tuesday Dec. 3rd, where he presented an EC $273.1 million budget for fiscal year 2025. This is a reduction of about EC $9 million, when compared to the 2024 budget was $282.7 million.
The budget was presented under the theme: “Moving Forward: People Focused, Supporting Entrepreneurship and Bolstering Job Creation”.
NIA’s expenditure for 2025 in terms of major allocations are: Office of the Premier-$11.8 million, Ministry of Finance-$99.20 million, Ministry of Communications and Works et al.-$42 million, Ministry of Agriculture et al.-$17.3 million, Ministry of Health et.al-$48.7 million, Ministry of Tourism-$6.5 million representing and Ministry of Education et.al- $41.3 million. The Nevis Appropriation (2025) Bill, 2024 was also tabled during the Sitting.
