The Premier of Nevis, the Hon.Mark Brantley, has earned international recognition at the Caribbean Global Awards 2025, held in London on Saturday, September 27th.
Premier Brantley secured the number eight spot on the Caribbean Global Leaders People’s Choice Top 10 List, ranking ahead of several notable regional figures, including Grenada’s Prime Minister Dickon Mitchell and St. Lucia’s Prime Minister Philip J. Pierre.
The prestigious list was led by Trinidad and Tobago’s Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar, with St. Vincent and the Grenadines’ Dr. Ralph Gonsalves in second and Barbados’ Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley rounding out the top three. Other honorees included Jamaican Prime Minister Andrew Holness, Guyana’s President Dr. Irfaan Ali and legendary athlete Usain Botl.
Adding to the Federation’s achievements, Nevisian-born novelist Caryl Phillips was also recognized, ranking 17th among the region’s most influential figures.
The Caribbean Global Awards shine a spotlight on excellence in politics, sports, and academia and the Federation’s presence on the global stage was strongly felt. The next awards ceremony is set for New York in June 2026.
