Property owners on Nevis are being reminded that the deadline to pay their 2026 property tax is September 30^th, following an extension from the original June due date.

The extension was granted as authorities are concluding an island-wide property revaluation exercise. Tax Officer at the Inland Revenue Department on Nevis, Dereska Herbert, shared this:

The extension was made to ensure all properties on Nevis are included in the revaluation exercise, which aims to modernize the property tax framework and improve the accuracy, consistency and integrity of property assessments.

The revaluation process is expected to take place every five years, but the last exercise was conducted in 2008.

Payments can be made at the Inland Revenue Department by cash, cheque, credit or debit card, through bank transfers, or via the department’s online Quick Pay service. For more information, persons can call 469-5521.
