A tragic double homicide took place on Nevis, on Thursday Sep. 3^rd, in Brown Pasture.

Lawmen have confirmed the incident to the VONNEWSLINE and said the deceased have been identified as 62-year-old Mario Andrew and his partner, 52-year-old Caroline Rodrigues, both of Brown Pasture.

The circumstances surrounding their deaths are under investigation and one person is assisting police with inquiries.

The double homicide comes nearly five (5) months after SKN recorded its fourth (4^th) homicide for 2026, back in April.

Both murders are the first recorded for the island of Nevis in 2026, but for the Federation, 6 for the year. Nevis last recorded a homicide on July 29^th 2025, when 27-year-old Xavier Dore of Pot Works was ambushed and shot multiple times by an unknown assailant or assailants.
