Nevis’ Superintendent of Police gives update on recent fire incidents

Updates have been provided on two of Nevis’ most recent fire incidents.

 

Over two (2) months ago, an arson incident occurred on Monday, August 17th here on the island, in which four (4) motor vessels belonging to Wincent Perkins of Newcastle, were damaged by fire. 

 

Most recently, one of the vehicles of local air-conditioning company, ‘The Finished Touch’ was damaged by fire on Wednesday, October 21st.

Concerning a fire incident that occurred at the landfill here on the island on Wednesday, September 2nd, General Manager of the Nevis Solid Waste Management Authority (NSWMA), Mr. Andrew Hendrickson, told the VONNEWSLINE earlier this month, “We’re still awaiting a report on the matter from the Nevis Fire Department. That matter is still being worked on.”
