Nevis to Defend Championship Title at Leeward Islands Debating Competition
On March 3rd 2024, Team Nevis was declared the champions of the 52nd Leeward Island Debating Competition (LIDC), held in St. Kitts. It followed the final debate between Nevis and sister isle St. Kitts.
Team Nevis will defend its title, in the 53rd LIDC, being held in St. Martin, from March 6th to March 9th, 2025.
Debate 3 will feature team Nevis focusing on the moot: “Parental Leave Should Be Equal for both Mothers and Fathers”.
If declared the winners of Debate 3, they would move on to the fourth and final debate, to defend their championship title on the topic: “Without Adequate Soft Skills Training Caribbean Youth Will Not Achieve Their Fullest Potential”.
