After almost a decade, Nevis will host the 2026 Leeward Islands Debating Competition (LIDC) (54^th edition) from Feb. 26^th to Mar. 1^st. Six countries will be participating, namely: Anguilla, Antigua & Barbuda, Montserrat, Nevis, St. Maarten and St. Kitts.

Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Education, et.al, Ms. Zahnela Claxton, shared these details.

Nevis won in 2024: a record 12th time. Antigua and Barbuda won the competition in 2025.
