Nevisian Schools dominate Inaugural National Bank “Youth Voices Panel”
With a focus on Artificial Intelligence (AI), the St. Kitts-Nevis-Anguilla National Bank, held its first ever “Youth Voices Panel”, on Tuesday April 29th. The event was a speech competition and was centered on the 2025 theme of International Education Day: “AI and Education: Preserving Human Agency in a World of Automation”.
Three discussions occurred featuring six primary schools with arguments for and against different topics about AI in classrooms.
The Violet O. Jeffers Nicholls Primary School on Nevis, represented by Advaith Swaminathan was awarded Best Speaker, Best Overall Panelist and also earned the title of Best Prepared Statement and Defence in Discussion 3.
Runner up for the Overall Best Speaker was Sherricia Latouche, of the Ivor Walters Primary School, and she also received the title of Best Defence in Discussion 2.
