The Nevis Electricity Company Limited (NEVLEC) is celebrating its 26^th anniversary of operations.

NEVLEC is the sole provider of electricity on the island of Nevis. The company, opened its doors on September 1^st, 2000.

The Utilities Company began its operation with the aim of providing quality electricity service to the island of Nevis.

It said on social media “For 26 years, NEVLEC has been more than an electricity provider — we’ve been a driving force in Nevis’ growth, resilience, and innovation. From homes and schools to businesses and healthcare, we’ve powered the heartbeat of our island with dedication and strength.”

Its mission statement: “to be a first class electric utility company, providing quality, reliable and cost effective service for the social and economic development and well-being of the residents and people of Nevis.”
