NEVLEC & SKELEC deploy skilled team members to assist in Jamaica’s power restoration efforts
Nevis Electricity Company Limited (NEVLEC) and St. Kitts Electricity Company Limited (SKELEC) have deployed skilled team members to Jamaica to assist with restoration efforts following the devastation caused by Hurricane Melissa.
NEVLEC sent three skilled team members, who departed Nevis on Tuesday November 11th and they were: Emergency Supervisor, Resean Maynard, accompanied by Linesmen – Lyman Laville and Shemar Munroe.
From SKELEC were: Dion Walters, Gavin Mitchum, Elvis Glasgow, and Bryan Delpleche. The teams will work alongside other Caribbean utilities through the CARILEC Disaster Assistance Programme (CDAP), and they will work alongside regional partners to help rebuild the power grid after Hurricane Melissa.
On Wednesday, SKELEC said on social media that the teams “arrived safely in Jamaica.”
