A new state-of-the-art commercial-grade kitchen was officially commissioned at the Alexandra Hospital on Thursday Feb. 19th.
Minister of Health-Nevis, the Hon. Jahnel Nisbett, said on social media “This represents a EC $2.3 million investment not only in infrastructure and equipment but in the overall quality of patient care.”
According to the Minister, the project includes expanded and modernized food preparation areas, improved storage facilities, walk in refrigerators and freezers, dedicated staff spaces, offices for our nutritionists and private areas for patient dietary counseling.
“Good nutrition is not an afterthought in healthcare. It is an integral part of treatment and recovery”, she added.
